still can't reproduce it... could you perhaps provide with a screendump? I think I know what you mean, but I just can't reproduce it myself.

that would be great, I'm not so good at the x-api.
I believe there are groups and depending on the status of the keys the
mappings are to different groups, is this correct? then, perhaps one could
see what group is active and from that figure out if the num lock/caps
lock should be active or not. Haven't dwelled deeper on this.
maybe I'm just catching for things not there...
