Re: How long before final releasea and more?

Hello,

Actually no, this list is new :)

From what I've seen and been told the current (alpha2) version is
quite stable, aside from a few minor cosmetic problems. I'm intending
to release an officially "stable" version (0.9.0) in a week or so.
(Please report any major problems with alpha2 to me ASAP.)

However, this will still have the limitation of requiring an
8-bit-compatible display. Improving the X11 driver is next on
the agenda; I've already had an offer to help with that.

There is a Java client available from HOB (www.hobsoft.com). The
pricing looks rather expensive to me, but it depends on your budget
(starts at $US143 per user and goes down slightly with more users).

I don't believe this is strictly possible with RDP version 4 (which
rdesktop and NTTSE speak). I do believe it's possible to specify an
application to run as a sort of "shell", which is similar, and I'll
add that functionality.

I'm not sure about "many", but yes. As far as I know all are closed
source, and the ones I've seen are primarily based on disassemblies
of MSTSC.

My client is a cleaner implementation, from standards and network
sniffs, and also partly a documentation effort. I've started using
it for real work, and it works well for me.
