WG: unified-patch18-6 (18-7) /numlock sync

Sorry,

forgot to send cc to rdesktop@cifs.org

------------------------

re 2.:

please find the screendump attached.
on the left up corner of explorer (where the window menu is located) you can see the artefact I ment.
By the way. I tried to reproduce it under NT4 but I was not able witch patch 18-9.

re 3.:

I think you received norberts(my colleague) patch ...(the next one for caps lock is on the way)
Saw that you fixed(or you are on the way to fix) the windows side, GREAT :-).

By the way. I tried the ms TS Client from w2k :
If you press the numlock key while connecting to w2k with the ms ts client the numlock state ist wrong too :-))
If we(you) can solve this with the status info which the server sends for the numlock status on the windows side we(you) would be better then M$ ...

best regards

Michael

on .2. :

still can't reproduce it... could you perhaps provide with a screendump? I think I know what you mean, but I just can't reproduce it myself.

on .3. :
that would be great, I'm not so good at the x-api. I believe there are groups and depending on the status of the keys the mappings are to different groups, is this correct? then, perhaps one could see what group is active and from that figure out if the num lock/caps lock should be active or not. Haven't dwelled deeper on this.
maybe I'm just catching for things not there... ;)

Hi Peter, Re. 2. Try to drag the window partly outside of the screen.Take the mouse cursor off the window for 1/2 a second and then move the window back in again. It does not happen always, about 2 of 5 times you have scrambled window menu icon or other parts of the screen which where outside of the viewable araea. Re. 3. OK, no problem. Maybe we can find a workaround here. Will let you know immediately when we find a solution.  best regards Michael
