RDP and sound

Hi!

I'm new to RDP and to rdesktop, I'd like to ask you if RDP allows sound to
be transmited, if so on which versions of the RDP protocol is this allowed,
which version of Windows implement this and if rdesktop supports this or if
support for this will be added in the future.

If there is any doc describing all this just tell where to find it.
