[Fwd: rdesktop freeze]

I too have seen this with version 1.1 patched up to 19-8-3

If I build on Linux, it works fine if the X server fine is on Igel thin
clients
(which use linux underneath), or on X terminals built from linux pcs.

However if the X server is on a NCD X terminal, or with the eXceed
emulator on a Microsoft PC, some of the characters look fuzzy.

If I build the same version on Solaris, it is the other way around,
fine
on NCD X terminals and with eXceed, but "fuzzy" if the X server is on
an Igel or an X terminal built from a Linux PC.

I would guess that rdesktop makes some (incorrect) assumption about
the X server.

I have seen this too, a while ago. I made the following
screenshot at the time, which looks similar to yours:

I don't know what you mean with exporting (export DISPLAY ?)
but I was using the X forwarding feature of SSH in order
to display the output from a LinuxPPC machine on an
x86 machine.

I noted that plain 1.1.0 works fine and I assumed that
the unified patch would not change that. However, according
to your report it does, so there must be something wrong
in the unified patch.
