Can you disclose whether or not the source will be released? If not, I
think that starting an open project would be very much worthwhile.

I guess that answers my question.
In answer to the original post, I am also unaware of any reason that a
Linux RDP server would be impossible. I would also like to voice
support for the project and would be willing to contribute if the source
is open.
