RE: A newbie Q

http://www.microwindows.org/ contains an "embedded" desktop environment that happily runs rdesktop too....it was designed for things like bootdisks so should be ok.

Subject: A newbie Q

Hi peoples,

Is it possible to run rdesktop from a linux bootdisk, or does it require X?
Sorry for the dumb question, but trying to come up with a slimmer solution then installing linux on all the old computers I want to use.

I had hoped booting from a floppy would work.

Also, I saw the patch for compression, and I don’t know a thing about programming, but how do I patch the source to include this?

Thanks everyone!
