OK...Following the thread below, I have now found out the EXACT 
circumstance of not passing
keyboard focus with the window. This ONLY happens if you leave a window 
"with focus" in the 
rdesktop session and try to move back to my own desktop.
If I go back to rdesktop and click in a clear area of the windows desktop
(removing the focus from the previously live window), I can happily go 
back to linux AND 
maintain the use of my keyboard too. Does this help??????

Anybody with this problem agree?
